IN CORPORE presents 28 photographs from an extensive body of work documenting (La)Horde and the Ballet National de Marseille.
Over three months during the pandemic, Meško was embedded with the company, documenting the dancers through rehearsals, performances and intimate moments beyond the stage. The resulting archive of more than 11,000 images explores the physicality, vulnerability and collective energy of a company at a pivotal moment in its evolution.
Presented at Kolektiv inside Le Corbusier's iconic Cité Radieuse, the exhibition offers a glimpse into a much larger photographic project, whose full scope extends far beyond the works on display.
THE BOOK
A more expansive reflection of the project can be found in Meško's 170-page handmade artist's book, which offers a deeper exploration of the dancers, their environment and the relationships that developed during his time with the company.
Produced in a limited edition of just 20 copies and presented at Yvon Lambert in Paris, the book brings together a broader selection from the photographic archive, revealing the depth and complexity of a project only partially represented in the Marseille exhibition.
